Today’s leader must be versatile and adaptable. Effective leadership results in everything from increased workplace productivity and employee retention, to improved succession planning and, ultimately, a better bottom line. This course, a key component of our Leadership Development training, serves as the foundation for establishing high performing leaders and defines the relationship between trust, respect, and credibility, covers the importance of follow up and honoring commitments, provides tips for gaining trust and reviews the five dysfunctions of a team – how lack of trust will inhibit execution.

This training is designed for managers, department heads, front line supervisors, team leaders and coordinators whether they are new to the position or have been in a leadership role for years.
 

Course Delivery
Blended Learning - Online/Self-Paced and Virtual/Instructor-Led

Participants will receive a link to the online portion of the course one week prior to the class date, to complete on their own. This is a 1 hour self-paced lesson. Participants will then join a 90 minute, virtual instructor-led class to review course material and apply knowledge through class activities.


Participants will be awarded a badge for each course they complete. A Leadership Development Certificate will be awarded to those participants completing all 7 courses within the certification.

Leading the Smart Factory Worker explores the shifting workforce dynamics in Industry 4.0, where technical expertise and digital proficiency are essential for success. Hand and power tools can be very hazardous in industry and have the potential for causing severe injuries when used or maintained improperly. This course is designed to present a summary of the basic procedures and safeguards associated with hand and portable power tools. After completing this course, participants will be able to recognize the hazards associated with different types of tools and understand the necessary safety precautions that should be taken for each.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Exposure to heat can cause illness and death. While the most serious heat illness is heat stroke, other heat illnesses such as heat exhaustion, heat cramps and heat rash, should also be avoided. There are precautions that can be taken any time temperatures are high and the job involves physical work. In this course, participants will learn the risk factors and symptoms of heat illness and how to protect themselves and other workers from developing such illness.
