This training is designed for managers, department heads, front line supervisors, team leaders and coordinators whether they are new to the position or have been in a leadership role for years.
 

Course Delivery
Blended Learning - Online/Self-Paced and Virtual/Instructor-Led

Participants will receive a link to the online portion of the course one week prior to the class date, to complete on their own. This is a 1 hour self-paced lesson. Participants will then join a 90 minute, virtual instructor-led class to review course material and apply knowledge through class activities.


Participants will be awarded a badge for each course they complete. A Leadership Development Certificate will be awarded to those participants completing all 7 courses within the certification.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Mechatronics Level I Operator training will provide the essential skills needed to function as a well-rounded machine operator in a complex production system, responsible for efficient operation of the equipment with minimal downtimes. Mechatronics Operator training is delivered with a focus on system understanding, troubleshooting and problem solving. Prior to class, it is recommended that the participants complete an occupational assessment as well as mechanical hands-on assessment.  

This course is apart of the Mechatronics I Certification program. Interested?

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Understand techniques for trouble-shooting electrical circuits;
  • Understand the four main electrical measurements: Voltage, Current, Resistance and Continuity;
  • Understand and follow correct safety procedures for taking measurements of voltage,current, resistance and continuity in a practical circuit.

This course is designed to strengthen a supervisor’s skills by helping participants overcome many of the challenges they may encounter as a leader. Participants will grow their understanding of responsible leadership and high-performance leadership of teams and explore the basic skills needed to effectively manage a workgroup. This course requires 1-2 pre-meetings with management to ensure company policies are accurately reflected and appropriate contacts and protocol are incorporated.

In this workshop, students are immersed in practical, real-world examples that illustrate how electricity is distributed and used in their plants and facilities. They’ll learn how to use electrical test equipment in their everyday jobs before moving on to an in-depth discussion about major electrical components, where and how these electrical components work, and their purposes within electrical systems. The goal of this basic electrical training course is to teach students how to reduce electrical equipment downtime, improve overall efficiency and safety, and fix problems they’ve been unable to solve on their own.
