Hand and power tools can be very hazardous in industry and have the potential for causing severe injuries when used or maintained improperly. This course is designed to present a summary of the basic procedures and safeguards associated with hand and portable power tools. After completing this course, participants will be able to recognize the hazards associated with different types of tools and understand the necessary safety precautions that should be taken for each.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Exposure to heat can cause illness and death. While the most serious heat illness is heat stroke, other heat illnesses such as heat exhaustion, heat cramps and heat rash, should also be avoided. There are precautions that can be taken any time temperatures are high and the job involves physical work. In this course, participants will learn the risk factors and symptoms of heat illness and how to protect themselves and other workers from developing such illness.
