Print Reading with Application & Practice (10-31-2025)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Print Reading focuses on understanding standard manufacturing prints used in industrial environments. Participants will learn to recognize key features such as dimensions, tolerances, and part details, and apply basic math skills to interpret these prints accurately. This course emphasizes reading standardized, production-ready prints rather than freehand or conceptual drawings. Ideal for those needing confidence in reading shop-floor documentation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the purpose of print reading in industrial settings
  • Identify common electrical symbols
  • Interpret basic line types and their meanings
  • Recognize standard wire color codes
  • Navigate the layout of a typical industrial print
  • Follow simple circuits using print diagrams

Maintenance technicians, electricians, machine operators, and industrial trainees who rely on print reading to troubleshoot, install, or maintain equipment in manufacturing environments.
